For me, a two-dimensional plane, whether it be on canvas or found wood, is a gateway to infinite possibilities. As I walk my path in this life, disillusions can and do present themselves, impelling me to continually edit and alter my beliefs and ideals. In being mindful of my ego and painting each day, a perceptivity surfaces as my thinking mind fades away. It is then that I become absorbed in an alternate universe-a mystical reality where all things…

(more..)My work is a reflection of myself and others in any given moment. I use painting the way many people meditate, it helps me to see the truth within myself or within a community. I begin with an intention and an emotion using a color, as colors are very emotive and gradually I begin to see people, symbols and stories fall into the space under my hands. I work from the place of no mind, where my heart is…
(more..)Since before I could speak art has been a part of my life. As my words began to develop so did my art. Both of which have been equally important to my expression of thoughts, ideas and feelings. Throughout the years I have navigated through lessons, school and art shows in an exploration and discovery of my artistic passion.
Life itself is my art; So I create art throughout my life. I find myself exploring personal growth, balance and…
(more..)“Michaelangelo is an astroverted entheogentleman from The Netherlands, whose psychedelicate sensitivity and intuition translate into his visual art, musical compositions & written/spoken words. His paintings are like treasure maps, alive with raw information, conjured like color from the white noise of sensation, and often inhabited by entities hidden in plain sight. He is also the vocalist and (co-)founder of the tribal orchestral bardic band TheaTerRa and the astral orchestral rock band Morph Dwarf, and has created the album art…
(more..)Finding a visual expression through beauty and kitsch, grace and grit, the ridiculous and the sublime, my work draws from the nostalgic perspective of art nouveau and 60’s psychedelica, attempting to navigate the poles between the populace and the elitist conceptions of imagery. The symbology I depict is a language of ideas and interactions that function as a microcosm of images in it of itself within the macrocosm of broader inter-related ideas.

(more..)In Qahiraʻs own words: My images attempt to evoke magic…spiraling and emerging through the sacred symbology of the Divine source, the Great Mother, the One. I have a passion for reaching into the essence of what is deeper than words, making pictures of what is beneath the surface, behind the veil, healing what arises from the depths of the world soul, activating the powers of intention, creating magic and revealing transcendence.
I feel that the role of the “artist”…

His ultimate dreams is to create an artisan community…
