“Andean Cosmovision and the 5th Sun” presented by the International Q’eros Foundation: The Q’ero Indigenous People are the direct descendants of the high priests of the INKA who still live in the traditional style near Mt. APU HUAMANALIPA at 18,000 feet in the Andes, near QOSQ’O (Cuzco, Peru). They are the last remaining INKA, having fled to the high Andes when the Conquistadores invaded Perú in the mid 1500s and have survived with their cultural and spiritual traditions intact, for over 500 years. They were “invisible” to “modern” civilization, and re-emerged in 1959. The Q’ero Paqos are some of the most highly respected medicine people in the world, to whom many shamans go to receive their initiations.
They are a people of MUNAY, (heart energy), and to sit with them in Sacred Space leaves one with a heart opening that is quite indescribable.
