My work is a reflection of myself and others in any given moment. I use painting the way many people meditate, it helps me to see the truth within myself or within a community. I begin with an intention and an emotion using a color, as colors are very emotive and gradually I begin to see people, symbols and stories fall into the space under my hands. I work from the place of no mind, where my heart is the only organ with eyes and with the wisdom to see beyond the surface of things. Painting for me is a healing art I use my experience with massage and energy work to feel the composition of a piece and try to “go with the flow” as much as possible and let my hands be guided by something bigger than myself. It is a constant journey bringing myself back to the breath, to the wind and to the spirit flowing through every living being on this planet.
