Mama Dena on guitar, vocals, and has written many of the Moes tunes Papa Adam on vocals, banjo-ukelele, percussion, and writer of songs Bella on vocals and violin Sophia on vocals , percussion, and dance. The Moes Family Band was born at Burning Man 2008. Mama/singer/songwriter Dena was about to take the stage at the epic Center Camp with hubby Adam by her side. The kids were tucked in at camp. Then, through the morning dust storm, a strange multi-person bike pulled up and the two Moes girls, coated white with dust, hopped out. Two more mics were found, the girls hopped onstage to join their folks, and magic ensued. People laughed, people cried, gifts were offered, and everyone had a swell time.
