The Mazeguider has been an iconic figure in Vancouver’s tribal dance underground for nearly 15 years with sets that take the dancefloor out to the ecstatic edges of time and awareness. As Bruce Lee famously taught that “emotional content” is everything, this description could be applied to the Mazeguider’s mixes. No fluff here. The Mazeguider’s undeniable signature style invites and compels the dancefloor to feel something brand new and unmistakably delicious in our bodies, minds and emotions.
Currently, the Mazeguider plays in the realms of Glitchhop, Glitchstep, Womp, Bass & Midtempo Crunkadelic. He has played festivals throughout the Cascadian region such as Entheos, Intention, Shambhala, the Oracle Gatherings, Earthdance, as well as events by Perception, Beats Without Borders, Beleaf, Playground and more. He has shared the stage with fine artists, such as Gaudi, Vibesquad, Kraddy, Heyoka, Bird Of Prey, Cheb I Sabbah, Adham Shaikh, Bluetech, Noah Pred, Makyo, Souls of Mischief, and many more.
To be at the helm of the big stereo, transmitting the frequencies, while the tribe gathers in the time-honoured rituals of celebration, is a privileged place to hold.
