Chandrika Devi “Yogong”
“Yogong” is an emerging movement arts practice based on the ancient sciences of yoga and qi gong as the practical means of self-cultivation leading to the awakening and embodiment of cosmic consciousness, which is nothing other than the unified field of love. Ha~tha yoga being the union of the sun and moon and qi gong the inner work of human being becoming a conscious bridge between Heaven and Earth.
The practice utilizes various techniques both learned through these different lineages of ancient eastern origin, and others springing forth from an intuitive place of inner receptivity. They include standing mudra, shaking, body tapping, churning, flowing forms (vinyasa), and seated asana work, integrated with breath (pranayama), bandha, visualization, affirmation and elements of experiential education of the energetic anatomy. The aim of these activities is to remove blockages in the physical and subtle bodies, and to open and activate keys energetic centers and channels in order to attune one’s earthly instrument to the natural flow and spontaneous movement of the lifeforce of nature and the cosmos.
Chandrika Devi, is a healing and movement artist who incorporates Classical Chinese Medicine, Qi Gong, Yoga, Bodywork and Massage Therapy, and Wellness Wisdom in her Ashland based wholistic health practice. She has been committed to personal and planetary health and awakening since 1998, a certified yoga teacher since 2002 and is a graduate of the National College of Natural Medicine. Chandrika is deeply devoted to the yogic arts as a spiritual path and whole way of life and being, and is passionate about sharing this transformative practice in its greatest sense with others as a friend, teacher, and healing arts practitioner. Her extensive academic and personal studies coupled with a richness of experience make her an exceptional source of both information and inspiration on this path.
